People gathered at the Pennsylvania State Capitol for the Harrisburg People's March. Formerly the Women's March, People's Marches took place all across the United States, including a rally in Washington D.C., to protest the policies of the incoming Trump administration.

On the afternoon of January 18th, in solidarity with the Syrian people, especially Syrian women, a small group of activists and demonstrators meet to protest against Turkish and Israeli attacks, the marginalisation of women in Syria, and the introduction of religious fundamentalism by the Syrian Transitional Government. The protest begins at the Office of the Counsellor for Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, where the march proceeds to Sigismund's Column at Castle Square.

Coincided with news that Israel’s cabinet has approved a Gaza ceasefire deal, Palestine Solidarity Campaign rally continues to take place in Central London. While the Metropolitan Police blocked the PSC’s planned marching route to Portland Place which targets the BBC headquarters, a static protest was organised in Whitehall as a result. Some protestors have clashed with police during the rally and there are eight people arrested according the Met Police.

Energy workers, particularly coal miners, attached to the Solidarity union marched through Warsaw from the headquarters of the Polish Energy Group to the Ministry of State Assets.
