Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), addressed the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 18 June 2025. In her speech, she emphasized that the only viable path to peace and stability in Iran and the region is regime change by the Iranian people and their organized Resistance. She urged the EU to recognize the Iranian people’s right to overthrow the regime, designate the IRGC as a terrorist entity, and end the policy of appeasement toward Tehran.
