Thousands of people have gathered in Tel Aviv and other locations in Israel in mass protests, demanding an immediate hostage deal before more hostages are killed by Hamas. The news about the bodies of 6 hostages rescued from Gaza brought many Israelis to the streets, protesting the abandonment of the hostages. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino were alive in captivity for nearly 11 months, before being murdered in captivity by Hamas terrorists soon before IDF forces reached their location, according to an IDF initial assessment. Protesters breached the police's barriers, blocked the Ayalon Highway, set bonfires, and painted graffiti slogans blaming the Israeli government and PM Benjamin Netanyahu for the death of the hostages.
