Dozens of homeless migrant families spent three days and two nights in Place Jules Joffrin, in front of the 18th arrondissement Town Hall, in Paris, to demand their right to housing. A police unit was in place forming a perimeter, allowing no-one to leave or enter, which caused the families to be separated. It wasn't until the third day that the prefecture found accommodation in the Ile de France area, but it didn't know how long the shelter would last.
