The activists called for the resignation of Kenya’s foreign minister and senior police officials over their alleged role in the abduction of Ugandan opposition leader and former presidential candidate Kizza Besigye in Nairobi in late 2024. Besigye was forcibly returned to Uganda, where he faced military court charges in Kampala, according to Amnesty International.
