INS Nipun, the second of the Diving Support Vessel (DSV) is constructed by Hindustan Shipyard Ltd, Visakhapatnam. The induction of Nipun represents a significant enhancement in the Indian Navy's deep-sea diving, underwater intervention, and submarine rescue capabilities and herald the beginning of a new chapter in the ship's journey from construction to operational service. Nipun represents a significant milestone in India's pursuit of self-reliance in defence shipbuilding.
