Tibetan Youth Congress Protest in Mumbai, India by Ashish Vaishnav / SOPA Images
The Tibetan Youth Congress rejected 'Ethnic Unity Law' imposed by so called People's Republic of China. This legislation is not a law of unity but political instrument designed to accelerate the forced assimilation of nations living under Chinese occupation including Tibet, East Turkistan, Southern Mongolia and Manchuria. The so called Chinese government seeks to erase national identities by suppressing distinct languages, undermining religious institution, rewriting history, destroying cultural heritage, separating children from their communities through state run colonial boarding schools, and replacing distinct identities with loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party.
