Parliamentary elections were held in Armenia to elect members of the 9th convocation of the National Assembly. The vote could decide whether the country continued toward the EU or returned to Russia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sought re-election on a promise of European integration. His main challenger was billionaire Samvel Karapetyan. Pashinyan's party won the election.
