A large-scale theatrical reconstruction and flash mob titled "Victory Ball" (Bal Pobedy) takes place on the Cathedral Square of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The event is dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the victory in World War II (WWII). Hundreds of participants, including youth activists, members of the Yunarmia movement, and students in historical and modern military uniforms, perform mass dances and formations. The reconstruction is part of the city-wide celebrations ahead of Victory Day in St. Petersburg.
