Kneecap Billboard London, UK by James Willoughby / SOPA Images
Over the May Bank holiday weekend 2026, the Irish hip hop group Kneecap unveiled a billboard on Cable Street in East London criticising the UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. The artwork was in response to comments made by the Labour leader about the band’s live performances, including at Glastonbury. Some statements by band members had previously led to police investigations and court appearances, where individuals were cleared of any offences.
