On the evening of April 12th, the day of the Hungarian parliamentary elections, supporters of the Tisza political party gather at Batthyany Square to watch the election results come in. As the evening progresses, it becomes clear that party president Peter Magyar has defeated the Fidesz party, winning a two-thirds majority in parliament, sweeping away the authoritarian era of Victor Orban and heralding closer ties with the European Union.
