Following the Met Police’s reinstatement of its policy to take enforcement action against public expressions of support for banned organisations, members of Defend Our Juries and supporters of Palestine Action were arrested in Trafalgar Square. Around 400 demonstrators sat holding placards supporting the banned group, before officers moved in and began making arrests. The action reflected the force’s renewed approach to enforcing restrictions on public expressions of support for the banned organisation.
