On April 1, 2026, followers of Santa Muerte and the Black Angel (The Devil) in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, visited their temple to pray and give thanks for favors granted on the eve of Holy Week.
According to popular belief, Santa Muerte is considered among the deities honored as an intercessor and mediator between the earthly and the divine, life and death, heaven and earth. Meanwhile, the Black Angel (The Devil) is one of the representations of Lucifer; both cults are condemned by the Catholic Church and other religious denominations.
