The event is part of the “Leipzig Reads” program held alongside the Leipzig Book Fair, one of the largest literary events in Europe. It features a reading from the latest book by German-Israeli author Arye Sharuz Shalicar followed by a public discussion with invited speakers from the fields of politics and civil society.
Shalicar is also known for his work in a governmental role in Israel and as a reserve spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Due to the ongoing war, he is unable to attend in person and is participating in the event via video link.
