Following the closure of all holy sites in the Old City of Jerusalem by Israeli authorities, a demonstration took place in London. The protest was organised by a coalition of Palestinian activists who demanded full access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surrounding compound. During the demonstration, participants gathered on Whitehall, where they laid out prayer mats and performed the Dhuhr prayer, the second of the five daily Islamic prayers, as a show of solidarity with worshippers affected by the restrictions.
