Also known as Blind football or football for the Blind, it is an adaptation of football for athletes with visual impairments. The sport has been governed by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) since 1996 and is played with modified FIFA rules.
It was first featured at the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games and has been included in every games since.
