Thousands of people took to the streets across parts of Kashmir in demonstrations expressing solidarity with Iran towards the United States and Israel after reports emerged that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed in joint US Israeli military strikes on Tehran. Mourners expressed deep grief over the reported death of the 86 year old leader who has a significant following in Kashmir. They wailed and beat their chests in mourning for what they described as their spiritual leader.
