Islam’s holiest month, Ramadan, is a period of intense prayer, dawn-to-dusk fasting, and nightly feasts. Khatam al-Qur’an is a ceremony traditionally held by Muslims toward the end of Ramadan. The observance marks the completion of reciting all 30 chapters (juz) of the Holy Qur’an.
