At the general audience at St. Peter's Square, Leo XIV continues his series on the documents of the Second Vatican Council with the first catechesis dedicated to the Constitution "Lumen Gentium." The Church, the Pontiff affirms, is God's instrument for uniting people to himself and to one another: "The condition of humanity is a fragmentation that human beings are incapable of repairing. In this condition, the action of Jesus Christ comes into play, conquering the forces of division."
