Argentina’s Senate gave initial approval to a government-backed bill amid tense street protests that left at least 15 people injured and around 30 detained. By 42 votes to 30, lawmakers in the upper house passed a measure that seeks to dismantle the labor regime in place, with amendments, since 1974.
