Supporters of the Socialist Workers Party and Stand Up to Racism gathered outside the Emmanuel Centre to protest against the launch event of the Advance UK Party taking place inside the venue. Demonstrators opposed what they described as the party’s racist and far-right policies, targeting the leadership of Ben Habib and the attendance of far-right activist Tommy Robinson, as protesters called for unity against racism and extremism.
