The newly formed political party Advance UK held a sold-out meeting in London addressing British culture and immigration. The event, at the Emanuel Centre in Westminster, set out proposals for tougher immigration controls and stronger community integration through the promotion of British culture. A small protest took place outside the venue by the left-wing group Stand Up to Racism, which describes the party’s policies as divisive.
