Cities across the Kurdistan Region witnessed demonstrations condemning the recent military escalation and the siege imposed by Syrian regime forces on Kurdish-held areas in Rojava (northeast Syria). Waving Kurdish flags, demonstrators gathered in large crowds and called on the international community and the United Nations to intervene to protect civilians.
