Heightened security is in place across Jammu and Kashmir during India’s 77th Republic Day celebrations, with additional deployments, checkpoints and surveillance measures implemented across key locations and sensitive zones. Authorities have tightened security particularly along the Line of Control and the India Pakistan border, long flashpoints between the two nuclear armed rivals.
