Kurdish political parties and civil society organizations in Istanbul protested the attacks against Syrian Kurds. Some people were affected by tear gas during the police intervention. Women braided their hair to show their support for Kurdish women in Syria. Thousands of civilians have been displaced since clashes began between the Syrian government and the Kurdish organization Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
