Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Central Reserve Police Force and other security agencies carried out the exercise to test coordination and enhance preparedness against potential militant threats and emergency situations as security is tightened across the Himalayan region, including intensified vehicle checks, increased patrols and expanded surveillance using drones and high resolution CCTV cameras, ahead of India’s 77th Republic Day on January 26, which marks the adoption of India’s constitution in 1950.
