Parishioners in Pamplona brought their pets to the Church of Saint Nicholas in Pamplona to celebrate Saint Anthony, the patron saint of animals. Father César Magaña, parish priest of the church, blessed all the pets that arrived throughout the morning with holy water. Saint Anthony, the Egyptian patron saint with a special connection to animals, is said to have cared for and healed sick animals, having kept a wild boar as his own pet.
