Varsovians take advantage of a break in the freezing cold and spend a mid-January afternoon on the 15th January 2026 ice-skating outside the Palace of Culture and Science, and in the market square of Warsaw's old town. Poland has been experiencing more extreme cold snaps than 2025 as an Arctic front moves through Europe.
