Thousands of farmers protested against the signing of the agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur. In addition to Polish flags, the protesters carried banners targeting, among others European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
During the protest, the European Union member states agreed to the agreement with Mercosur. Representatives from Poland, France, Ireland, Hungary, and Austria voted against it in the EU Council. Belgium abstained.
