The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Istanbul held a water blessing ceremony and liturgy as part of Epiphany celebrations. Epiphany commemorates the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist in the Jordan River and falls on the 12th and final day of Christmas.
