The blackout followed a sabotage attack on electrical cables at a bridge crossing the Teltow Canal, which disrupted power supply to tens of thousands of residents, as well as transport infrastructure and public services. Police patrol affected areas and assist residents while utility crews continue work to restore electricity and temporary measures remain in place.
