The very recent storm washed up hundreds of thousands of starfish, oysters and crabs on the Margate beach and the seafront. Starfish stranding is a natural occurrence that happen every year. Large stranding often occur after stormy weather when water currents become stronger and wash the starfish and other marine animals to the shore.
