Vegan activists from Speciesism WTF staged an artistic demonstration in Southbank, gathering around a table set for a Christmas dinner with a semi-nude performer placed in the centre to symbolise a turkey. The performance is part of the “Turkey Is NOT Human(e)” campaign highlighting the suffering of millions of turkeys raised for Christmas and drawing attention to the conditions in which they are bred, confined, and slaughtered while urging the public to reconsider traditions that perpetuate animal cruelty.
