Rally in wake of Bondi calls for government sacking outside Victorian parliament in Melbourne by Michael Currie / SOPA Images
Around one hundred protesters gathered in heavy rain on the steps of Parliament House in Melbourne during a peaceful rally calling for the “sacking of the government” following the Bondi attack. The demonstration included anti-immigration activists, One Nation supporters, and organisers who previously rose to prominence during Melbourne’s anti-lockdown protests. Participants displayed Australian and Israeli flags and accused state and federal governments of policy failures, while speakers addressed the crowd amid persistent rainfall blaming the federal government for the Bondi attack. Police maintained a large presence throughout the rally.
