A nativity scene with a goat organized by students of the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" took place at the Khreshchatyk metro station. The Christmas nativity scene with a goat is an ancient Ukrainian ritual where the Goat (Koza-dereza) symbolizes fertility, prosperity, rebirth and the joy that comes with Christmas and the New Year representing a key figure in carols that "dies" (freezes) and "resurrects" (comes to life) bringing good luck and prosperity to every home which is accompanied by cheerful dancing and generous treats from the hosts.
