A high-level Human Rights Day conference was held at the European Parliament bringing together Members of the European Parliament and international human rights figures to address Iran’s escalating human rights crisis and surge in executions. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) delivered the keynote address alongside speakers including Ambassador Stephen Rapp, Kumi Naidoo, Mark Ellis, Dominique Attias, Antonio López-Istúriz, Juan Fernando López Aguilar, and Struan Stevenson as participants called for accountability, an end to impunity and concrete European Union action in response to systematic repression in Iran.
