In honor of St. Nicholas Day, festive trams and trolleybuses decorated with garlands were launched in Odessa. Everyone had free rides in the decorated carriages, and passengers with children received sweets from St. Nicholas. On December 6, Ukrainians celebrate St. Nicholas Day—one of their most beloved children's and family holidays. After the churches adopted the New Julian calendar, the date of the celebration was moved from December 19 to December 6.
