On Wednesday 26th November, a tower in Wang Fuk Court, which is an eight-tower complex in Tai Po, Hong Kong, had caught fire, while the the complex had been under renovation, the towers were clad in bamboo scaffording and mesh, it led to the rapid spread of the deadly fire to the other six towers. The incident was soon esculated to Level 5 fire, for the first time in 17 years. After an overnight rescue operation by firefighters and police force, the fire was reportedly under control. The death toll has been still rising following the the continuation of the rescue work. Many local residents have also volunteered to allocate and deliver emergency supplies to displaced residents of the complex.
