The Fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko delivers 524 generators to the front and accuses authorities of stealing billions allocated for the energy sector. In addition to the threat of capitulation and the dire situation on the front line, Ukrainians are deeply concerned about the corruption scandal that is tearing the country apart and damaging our global reputation. Former president Petro Poroshenko announced the delivery of 524 generators, including four powerful German units with Deutz engines and Siemens/Bosch systems, to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He sharply criticised the authorities, stating that the energy crisis was caused not only by Russian attacks, but also by the theft of 'hundreds of billions of hryvnia' allocated for the protection of the energy system. The new batch will provide lighting and power for UAVs, communications and equipment to over 520 frontline positions. In total, since the start of the invasion, his team has delivered over 5,000 generators (30 MW), worth 120 million UAH, including models for water utilities and dugouts.
