The Doulos Hope is a floating bookstore operated by a German nonprofit organization whose mission is to “share knowledge, help, and hope” through books and cultural exchange. International volunteers from around 37 countries live on board for one or two years, serving without a salary and promoting literacy, education, and cross-cultural awareness. According to the organization’s website, they reflect God’s compassion.
In November 2025, the ship is at Klong Toei Port in Bangkok, Thailand. The entry fee is 20 THB, and most of the books are for sale.
