The Christmas parade opens the Christmas market in Gdańsk, which last year was recognised as the most beautiful in Europe. Actors in costume walked through the streets of the city on stilts. Musicians walked alongside them. They were accompanied by a crowd of residents and tourists. Visitors to the market can enjoy stalls offering handicrafts, gifts and Christmas treats from around the world. The market will last until 23 December.
