Around 5,000 protesters gathered at Independence Square in Vilnius to voice concerns over the government's appointment of anti-democratic figures to key positions, including the controversial Culture Ministry. The rally, organized by the Cultural Assembly under the "We Are Culture" campaign, drew support from artists, farmers, educators, and citizens across sectors, all demanding accountability and protection of Lithuania's democratic values. Demonstrators carried flags and placards with messages defending the republic against what organizers described as threats from anti-Semitic, pro-Russian political movements.
