Around 600 people, mainly tobacco growers, gathered in front of the Polish Prime Minister’s Office in Warsaw to protest against WHO recommendations on tobacco cultivation. Demonstrators called on the government to oppose what they see as harmful proposals from the WHO and the European Commission. A stage was set up for speeches, accompanied by loud sirens and whistles. Protesters carried Polish flags and banners reading “WHO is evil,” “Tobacco gives us bread, not smoke,” and “The EU burns our future.”
