The restoration of Al-Tahira Chaldean Church originally dating back to the mid-18th-century was part of the "Mosul Mosaic" initiative aimed at preserving the city's diverse cultural heritage. The project commenced in 2019 led by L'Œuvre d'Orient in collaboration with the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage, the French Institute National du Patrimoine (INP), and the Chaldean Archdiocese funded by the ALIPH Foundation.
