Day 20 of the 2025 National Strike in Ecuador in discontent with the government of Daniel Noboa. The march was called as a peaceful demonstration by different social sectors. Thousands of people responded to the call and gathered at the Villaflora roundabout, south of Quito. The march was headed for El Arbolito Park; however, from the outset, the demonstration was dispersed by heavy repression and excessive use of tear gas. Despite this, hundreds of people managed to advance on foot along alternative routes until they reached the park, resisting constant repression. The use of tear gas did not stop at any point during the march.
