On the morning of the 2nd October, pro-Palestine supporters gathered at the Israeli embassy to protest against Israel's illegal interception and detention of the participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla. With over 40 vessels, the latest Global Sumud Flotilla to provide aid to Gaza and break Israel's naval blockade was one of the largest yet and set out from Barcelona in late August before being intercepted in early October. Among the participants were four Poles, Ewa Jasiewicz, Nina Ptak, Polish MP Franek Sterczewski and Polish resident, Palestinian Omar Faris.
