Hopes for the peace deal are now paramount. But community relationships around the world from divergent opinions will take time to heal. Since October the 7th 2023, the subsequent war in Gaza anti war and pro Palestine protests have taken place. Predominantly the protests have been Pro Palestine but have regularly included members of the Jewish community including Jewish Voice for Labour and Jewish Action for Palestine. Counter protests supporting Israel and against antisemitism have also taken place in the city.
