The demonstrators demanded accountability from the government on 17 immediate demands that are due on September 5, and eight others by Aug 31, 2026, these include; investigations into protest violence, the release of detained activists, an end to police brutality, scrapping parliamentary allowance plans, state institutional reforms, and passing an asset confiscation bill against corruption.
