The idol at GSB seva mandal is known as India's richest Ganesha adorned with more than 69 kgs of gold ornaments and more than 336 kgs of silver and other precious items which are usually donated by the devotees. it has also bought an insurance cover of Rs.474.64 crores for the gold and silver ornaments adorning the ganpati idol along with coverage for the volunteers who help in managing and controlling huge number of devotees who come to pray there during the festival.
