A group known as the Mothers of Soacha is advocating for the continued investigation and search for the remains of those who were extra judicially murdered by the Colombian army. Thousands of innocent people were executed under the presence of being guerrillas in a scandal referred to as Los Falsos Positivos (The False Positives), which occurred during the presidency of Álvaro Uribe Vélez. To date, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace has confirmed 6,402 victims.
